Sun Tunnels

Sun tunnels are tubular skylights that capture sunlight through a dome on the roof. The sunlight travels through a highly reflective tube, and the ceiling diffuser allows light to disperse throughout the room. A 14″ sun tunnel in a typical application will light up to 325 square feet!

They are an excellent way to bring natural light to any space regardless of roof or attic structure; they can be installed virtually anywhere! Sun tunnels are a quick and affordable way to make a dramatic difference to a dark space. Install a sun tunnel in an area of your home in which natural light would be a benefit, but a view of the sky would not be necessary.

Sun tunnels are especially ideal for:

stairwells
hallways
bathrooms
walk-in closets

An optional light kit can be installed, allowing the sun tunnel to be used as an electrical light at night.

The pitched angle of the dome on the roof allows the sun tunnel to gather light from any exposure, regardless of your roof slope. This means a consistent light output throughout the day!

Sun tunnels have a thermal break at the ceiling level, with the diffuser sealed into a rubber gasket. This prevents any heat gain or loss through the sun tunnel, making them exceed Energy Star requirements in all four Canadian climate zones.
